We’ve compiled a list of the most important issues that fall under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Enforcement.

Waste

- waste or littering in public spaces,
- illegal waste dumping.
Community issues in public spaces
If you detect any of the following, contact us via email (info@jozsefvarosirendeszet.hu), or report it via the Józsefváros Smart City App!
- Failure to keep the sidewalk in front of the property clean,
- Failure to remove illegal posters or graffiti from the property’s walls,
- Keeping vacant lots clean and free of weeds,
- Distribution of unauthorized advertising materials or flyers,
- Feeding pigeons, bringing dogs into prohibited areas,
- Unauthorized or improper use of public spaces,
- Vehicle dismantling in public spaces,
- Consumption of alcohol in public spaces,
- Issues related to micromobility stations (e.g., scooters),
- Violations within residential properties (e.g., noise disturbances, violations of pet ownership rules, storage of junk or furniture in hallways).
Roads, sidewalks
If you detect any of the following, contact the local municipal enforcement officer responsible for the area of the observed problem via email, or report it via the Józsefváros Smart City App!
- potholes or obstacles on the district’s roads or sidewalks.
Complaints regarding green spaces, parks, and playgrounds
If you detect any of the following, contact us via email (info@jozsefvarosirendeszet.hu), or report it via the Józsefváros Smart City App!
- Parking on green spaces,
- Bringing animals into the playground,
- Using the playground for purposes other than its intended use.
Parking
If you detect any of the following, contact us via email (info@jozsefvarosirendeszet.hu)!
- illegal parking or other problems related to parking.
Complaints related to film shoots
If you experience any of the following, or similar issues, contact us via email (info@jozsefvarosirendeszet.hu), or report it via the Józsefváros Smart City App!
- Filming without a permit to use public space,
- Use of public space in a manner or on a scale different from that specified in the permit.
Issues related to shops
If you experience any of the following, or similar issues, contact the local municipal enforcement officer responsible for the area of the observed problem via email, or report it via the Józsefváros Smart City App!
- Opening or closing times that differ from the official schedule,
- Complaints regarding terrace use (opening hours, size, lack of a permit).
Construction sites
If you experience any of the following, or similar issues, contact us via email (info@jozsefvarosirendeszet.hu), or report it via the Józsefváros Smart City App!
- Requiring verification of existence of a public space usage permit and compliance with its conditions,
- Troublesome conditions arising from the construction work, such as dust, noise and other types of pollution,
- Complaints related to weekend work,
- Obstruction of traffic.
Noise and dust pollution

The municipal government guarantees that written reports will receive a written response within 8 days.
Filing a complaint:
Anyone whose rights or legitimate interests have been affected by the action of a public space supervisor, by the failure to act, or by the use of coercive measures may submit a complaint to the police. (According to Section 22 (4) b) of Act CXX of 2012 – on the activities of certain persons performing law enforcement tasks and the amendment of certain laws to ensure action against truancy – the complainant may contact the police within a maximum of 3 months following the supervisor’s action, failure to act, or the use of coercive measures.) Complaints can also be made in person at the Józsefváros Municipal Enforcement Services’ customer service at Német utca 13, or via e-mail to info@jozsefvarosirendeszet.hu, addressed to the director of the Józsefváros Municipal Enforcement Services. In all cases, the complainant will be informed of the outcome of the case, usually through the same channel used to submit the complaint.
